Today, during an afternoon foray along Ginninderra Creek in the West MacGregor Paddocks I spotted a small group of Zebra Finches on the northern side of the creek. A male Hooded Robin also made a brief appearance on the rocky slopes. I whistled in a Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo and then another and then ...... Eventually, 5 Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoos were sitting on the fence wire less than 3 metres away from where I stood. Groups of Diamond Firetail were evident along the creek also.
