Yes thanks for that and you are totally right. If I
may explain. I had in mind the order Hemiptera, but my brain got waylaid. It is
after all 32 years since I formally studied entomology. However I did look up
one of my books to find that Cockroaches are Blattodea. And then I thought oh
well, Blattodea are not THAT different from the Hemiptera, at least they
are both exopterygotes (for those that don't know: the major group of insects
that don't have a pupal type of metamorphosis) and thought I could probably get
away with not changing my text. But I was caught out. I had in my head true
'bugs', as in the order Hemiptera. As distinct from beetles. Thanks for keeping
me on my toes (and requiring me to type more than I saved
originally.......)
