Elizabeth Your message is the first I have had suggesting a chick in the RH nest (although they are about due), so I have posted this reply to the list in general, asking if anyone else going to Kelly's today could try to get a look into the RH nest. At the risk of repeating myself from yesterday, I think the best position to see into this nest is the Painted Snipe Viewing Mound adjacent to Bittern hide. Probably needs a scope or a very large lens toget a decent look. Martin On Sun, Dec 14, 2008 at 8:25 AM, Elizabeth Compston <> wrote: We went to Kelly's about 6pm yesterday. As already noted, there are 2 chicks on lower LH nest. But I wondered whether there was a larger chick in RH nest. I saw a fluffy something as the parent was sort of crouching, to her RHS. Could not see a chick's bill though. Any other reports of that? |
