Most annoying bird calls are the ones you don't hear anymore because their numbers have crashed in an area.
 
And look, I don't mind the wheezing, screeching begging calls of young galahs –  let's add at a reasonable distance, could say the same for the 1812 Overture. The puling of young galahs strikes me as a sound synonymous with lazy summer afternoons in the Bush Capital together with cicada song and the chimes of a Mr Whippy van and wimmin in the kitchen rattling up a nice chicken salad with chilled white plonk for Johnny's supper.
