Hi Martin and all,
Just back from the Cirque de Soleil and on the way I thought I go chasing Koels. (Only because I am interested and happen to live in calling distance from the Griffith one.)
Well it is alive and calling - I found it in a backyard in Favanc Circle. Only had my compact camera but we did have the bins in the car and I could actually see the beak moving to it's calling. A tick for me on that one.
The attached photo is the best I could do under the circumstances. I will probably try again for a better photo tomorrow if it hasn't moved on.
