I have mentioned before the Tawny Frogmouths nesting outside my study. I first became aware of the nest, with a sitting bird, in early October and since HANZAB gives an incubation period of 28 - 31 days, expected hatching any time from now. Last night at 10pm I was outside, in the rain, with our dog and noticed a Frogmouth fly into the nest. On illuminating the site briefly I saw a second bird sitting in the nest feeding a cute white chick. Right on time. Martin |
