Yesterday evening on my bike ride along Gungaderra Creek in Harrison I
stopped to watch another large flock of Superbs (12-16) arrive from
Mitchell direction. They hung around to drink from a puddle and feed on the
ground with some Wood Duck. This was around 5.40pm. By 6pm most had flown
on along the creek line towards Horse Park Drive and further to Gooroo i
assume to roost. It seems to be a nightly ritual.
Also a single Tree Martin was present above the eucs lining the ponds. No
sign of the escapee Cockatiel from yesterday.
Cheers
