I forgot to mention that I saw probably the same female Musk Duck on Sunday
evening but with 2 small balls of black by its side on Yerrabi Pond.
I wonder what happened to the other youngster.
Cheers

[canberrabirds] Musk Duck plus
DY
Hi All
Amongst the 400 plus coot on Yerrabi Pond this morning was a female Musk
Duck with a dependant young that I would guess at about 2 days old;
certainly under a week. Can anyone "age" it for me.

(Apologies if this appears twice; like Ian, I think I sent it the first
time
before I was properly back on the list.)
