Thanks to all the replies. Yes this is what it was.
Very surprising at this location as suggested by some correspondents and
certainly I have never seen one here before, maybe others have. Given Mt Taylor
is surrounded by suburbs and major roads and the Mountain is visited by hundreds
of walkers for exercise as well as the senery.
