I visited Wet Lagoon on Saturday. The highlight being the resident Swamp
Harriers, on this occasion I counted just two birds.
There is plenty of water in the lagoon, at least near the road, in stark
contrast to neighbouring Wollogorang Lagoon (empty) and Roses Lagoon (bone
dry).
Other birds seen included a count of 5 Brown Falcons, 4 Australian Shelduck
browsing in a green paddock alongside roos and probably the same 'captive'
Emu again in a fenced paddock just up from Wet Lagoon towards Breadalbane.
Around Breadalbane itself I found 3 Southern Whitefaces along the roadside.
Cheers
