Evening all,

I saw 2 Little Eagles around lunchtime today from the grounds of CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems (aka Wildlife and Ecology). The first was a dark morph being harassed by several Australian Ravens and I put its position about where the GDE passes over the Barton Highway. It was last seen heading towards central Kaleen. The second bird was further away, probably over Yowani golf course, and was too far away to be sure of the colour. It was being attacked by a gang of very vocal magpies. Both birds were quite high. I don’t know if these birds were the pair that used to regularly occur on Gungahlin Hill NR several years ago (one a light and one a dark morph), were the birds from Fyshwick, or the pair from northwest Belconnen. Whichever it was still good to see they still frequent the city area.
