Alastair Smith called me this morning about 8.30am to say he was watching the Grey Goshawk reported yesterday by Richard Harding. I headed out there with my scope and found Alastair still watching the bird, and we obtained great views of it. Well worth taking a scope if you're heading out there because you can get a good elevated view of the area. Apart from that, the area known as Finch Central was remarkably devoid of birds - all hiding from the goshawk, I guess!
