I started at Newline hoping to catch the honeyeaters Marnix reported.  Even though it was quite foggy at 9:15 I soon found a large flock of mixed honeyeaters near the fence on the Eastern side of the dam.  They were very active, both in feedin' and feudin' but I saw at least 20 Fuscous, 20 White-plumed, 10 Yellow-faced, 10 White-naped (looked hard for blue eye liner or black chins but failed) and 1 Yellow-tufted.  Also Noisy Miner and Red Wattlebird.  In the same area 2 Peaceful Doves, 1 Brown treecreeper and 2 Southern Whiteface.

Then to the Fyshwick SP where it was mainly the usual suspects: some Hardheads were back but no Pink-ears.  Several Golden-headed Cisticolas.

Across the road to Kellys to record 1 Yellow-billed Spoonbill, 1 Pink-eared Duck and 25 Masked Lapwing.

After a lunchtime jog I went to the Hackett tanks to try to score a Swift Parrot and failed (again).  However any birding time graced with up to a dozen Eastern Rosellas cannot be rated too badly.
