Yesterday, not far from Pike's Saddle on the Krawaree Road (between
Braidwood and Cooma), a male Superb Lyrebird displaying. The wind was
roaring in the tree tops, snow flakes were eddying in the lee, and a
wonderful bird was doing his thing - only metres from the road.
Also this morning found a lyrebirds's dancing mound, several metres from
the entrance to the Marble Arch (further along from the Big Hole).
