BIG birds hovering over Mt Taylor

If WTEs, it will be a local family.  In recent years pairs have nested on Mt Mugga, Farrer Ridge, just E of Mugga Lane, Wanniassa Hills (near Erindale Dr).  Young probably fledged late Nov, early Dec.

On 3 January this year there was a pair of wedgies soaring very high above Mt Taylor on the Pearce-Torrens side. I have occasionally seen singles there in the past.

Wedgies certainly have been pretty regular over the NW end of Cooleman Ridge (not that far away) over the past couple of months, though often low enough to easily identify.

Anybody seen them recently? The most I have seen is 4 at one time.
They are so high up, yet so large. The only thing I can think that they would be, would be Wedge Tailed Eagles.
