Terry didn't claim an observation of a Grey Falcon. He described a quick observation of a grey looking Peregrine Falcon. It appeared to me from what he wrote to be well short of a clear decision either way but either species is possible.

What is the proverb "Fools jump in where angels fear to tread".

Apologies Terry, apparently Grey falcons have been seen in the ACT before.

To me they are a rare bird of the interior, rarely seen, a bird that doesn't exist according to the Big Twitch man (correct?), and one I have trouble with when reporting any of my sightings to the Atlas people.  Of my 4 remote sightings over the years, they take a lot of convincing that it was a grey falcon.  To me an unmistakable bird.

Steve.
