I could agree (with Yarden & Harvey) but from
the description they could also be cormorants or many other things. I wrote
about this a few weeks ago. I was intrigued to note that the Aust White Ibis is
the bird I see more of than any other species from my new work venue in Braddon.
If so I'd suggest they are not migrating, they are commuting as birds are
simultaneously travelling in opposite directions. Not that I get to look out the
window much and it is nowhere near as good birdwise as my prior venue on Tennant
Street Fyshwick.
