I'd second Yarden's suggestion. I saw a flock of 9 Australian White Ibis flying NW>SE over Braddon near the Rex Hotel at 9:20 this morning.

I got the following query from my wife about 11:00 this morning.

A number of water birds have been flying overhead from my window today (not small birds and with w/bird longish necks in flight).
Usually in groups of 5 to about a dozen.  Flying from NW to SE.  I assume they're on their way to somewhere better following the rain.
Where do you think they're off to?  Surely too early for an annual migration.

Has anybody else observred these flocks?
