At 1615 today, I looked up from my li-lo on the front porch and saw a large raptor gliding towards Holt from the south-east. I hollered for a servant brat to fetch the binos and she burst out the door lickety-split, no doubt driven by curiosity. We watched a Wedge-tailed Eagle for 90 seconds as it turned and drew out of sight towards the north east. On December 14, we saw a Wedge-tailed Eagle sail over western Holt while the local Galahs went to heck and back in a handbasket.
