I'm not sure if this is seeking further comment but Blackbirds do indulge in vocal mimicry. Unlike a lot of mimics they tend to not mimic many things but one or two specific calls of other species that they regularly place in a similar position with their own song. For example, I have had one here that mostly finished singing with a little bit of Rainbow Bee-eater mimicry.
