I went out to West Macgregor this afternoon at 4.30pm. The pair of Red-backed Kingfishers are still there. I observed them copulating again but, in the half hour that I watched them, neither entered any nest holes. Other species of note were 1 Sea Eagle, 1 Brown Falcon, 1 Brown Songlark (over towards the Holt pony club), several Rainbow Bee-eaters, 7 White-winged Trillers - not too bad for clapped out paddocks awaiting development :~} Regards Frank ******************************************************************************************************* This is the email announcement and discussion list of the Canberra Ornithologists Group.
