Well done Con. I've been watching the Royal Spoonbills with interest to see
if they might breed there - up to 3 have been in the trees with the ibis and
LPCs at various times for a couple of weeks now, but as you say, no sign yet
of any breeding activity. You've picked up far more nests than I have with
the naked eye (binoculars are banned as a visual aid during golf). I have
been particularly interested in the group of nests nearest the (16th)
green - there seems to be at least 6 birds sitting on one huge nest.
Obviously several nests very close to each other. Several Straw-necked Ibis
were in the trees too last time I played, but no obvious breeding activity
(yet?). Little Black Cormorants and the odd Great Cormorant are about too.
