While on my unsuccesful hunt for the Drongo today I proceeded up (once) and down (once) the rainforest Gully. Where it joins the main road on the Southern, or Black Mountain Road, side some grass trees (Xanthorrhea spps) are in flower. They were getting considerable attention from Red Wattlebirds feeding on the nectar (I think) or insects.
