Yes, the eggs and sitting bird are quite visible in the hole, although it's dim in there. When I first peered in I could see two clearly, then the sitting bird moved slightly and the other two became visible to the other person I was with, so we are fairly sure there's four in there.

One of the security guards came out with a torch to see what we were looking at, and wouldn't believe what we told him till he shone a torch - briefly - into the hole. It was him who told us that he'd seen rabbits coming out of the hole in the past, but not lately.

I wish there were something I could do about protecting them in some way - roping the area off. A step on top of the mound is likely to squash them all - they're very close to an area where lots of people congregate.

What sorts of things should I be observing and taking note of?
