According to Rarities Panel records, the earliest date for a Little
Friarbird in the ACT was 15 September, and the latest, 30 May. The vast
majority of records are in the summer months as Bron noted. And mainly from
the north, especially Mulligans Flat.

Subject: 2 unusual birds (for me!)
1.This morning for only the second time in 35 years here Gang-gang
Cockatoos in my Melba garden!
They were heading east, but stopped for a short rest then flew on!
2. I spent the weekend at a camp, run by SCUNA in preparation for
concerts in October.
It was held at WarrambuiNE of Murrumbateman.
One of the many highlights was a Little Friarbird (another
birdwatcher in the group reported seeing it on Saturday too)
The bird atlas says it's a rare summer migrant and that they're often
found west of Yass.
At publication all recent records had been mid Oct to mid Feb so this
could be early/unusual?
