On the W side of the Molonglo the yellow-faced honeyeaters have
arrived and seem to have settled in, singing vigorously. The same
applies to horsfield bronze, pallid and fan-tailed cuckoos (although
that is probaby stretching the meaning of 'singing '). A pair of red
wattlebirds are inspecting real estate next to the potting shed.

This morning the first grey fantail for several weeks has appared in
the garden and a flock of 8 dusky woodswallows had appeared (again
first for several weeks) on Whiskers Creek Road.

We haven't been graced by a peregrine falcon but a brown goshawk came
by on Monday and a kestel was assessing the edibility of the
woodswallows this morning.
