Orchids of the Southern Tablelands 7.30pm Monday 13 August 2007

The Wildlife and Botanic Artists Inc presents Orchids of the Southern Tablelands by Geoff Robertson Monday 13 August 2007, 7.30pm - Hughes Community Centre. Geoff Robertson, currently Vice-President of the Friends of Grasslands (FOG), is a keen naturalist, conservationist and photographer. This presentation will introduce WABA members and guests to the orchids of the Southern Tablelands.  Geoff will explore colour, form, seasonality and habitat of orchids, with a series of slides from the many FOG field trips undertaken in the region. This is your opportunity as an artist to get to know more about orchids for botanical art and illustration purposes. You may also like to participate in field activities offered by FOG ? more details will be available at the meeting. Bring your sketchbooks and notebooks for an evening of orchids.

TheWildlife and Botanical Artist Inc. brings artists, scientists and environmentalists together to promote appreciation of our natural wildlife and botanical heritage.
