Bowerbirds in Hughes

We have lived in Hughes since 1995. In the first ten years it was
quite uncommon to see a Bowerbird in our yard, or even in the suburb.
However the last few years they have become quite common, especially
in the winter, with female/immature birds now quite regular in our
yard, and often seen on Red Hill. I assume this is connected with the
establishment of the Federal Golf Course Bower, and an extension of
range.
