Dear Frank
I spent from 11.00 to 11.45 am today Sat 30 June at the Newline front paddock and definitely saw a Black-chinned HE. I had very clear views of the blue eye wattle and the black chin.. It seemed to be keeping the company of the Crested Shrike-tits.
There was a lovely variety of other birds. I also saw -
1-2 Crested Shrike-tits, 1 Speckled Warbler, 2-3 Brown Tree Creepers, 1 Fuscus HE, 5-6 Red-rumped Parrots (including a pair examining a hollow near the new gate), 9 Superb Fairywren, 2 Jacky Winters, 2 Willy Wagtails, 1 Crimson Rosella, 2 Peaceful Doves, 9 Wood Ducks and a MFF which included Yellow-rumped THs. I also heard a Grey Currawong. As I left I saw a Wedge-tailed Eagle flying low across Pialligo Ave near the Fairburn Pines.
It was sunny with a light wind.
Regards Julienne K
