This afternoon a small flock (6 birds) of silvereyes, of the Tasmanian race, visited our garden.  They are the first I have recorded for a few weeks and I did initially wonder if they had come searching for the salami we have in our pantry but they seemed to be quite happy dining off some thistles by Whiskers Creek and some mealy bugs on our crab apple.
