About a week earlier (Sat 9th or Sunday 10th I think), between 9.30 -9.40
am when walking round Mt Ainslie), along the track that runs SE from Philip
Ave/Kellaway St across the Ainslie/Majura saddle ridge, I met >70
YTBCs (and pb considerably more) straggling at canopy height and with a
few on the ground ?feeding. They were between the crest of the saddle
ridge (where some were on the ground) and about 800 m or so further down on
the east side of the ridge.

Hi All,
Probably old hat but at about 3PM Sunday 17th whilst running along
the top of the saddle between Ainslie and Majura, there were about 150+
Black Cockatoos flying high Northwards along the back of Mt Ainslie and
ending their trip (I think)in the Majura Pine Forest...interestingly I
also saw a large raptor some minutes later proceeding on a simillar
course but Southwards I would say it was A Swamp Harrier as it had a
White rump but too far away for a positive ID I will check out
Kellies...Many years ago I saw a Swamp Harrier from Majura Lane and
perhaps this is a logical route from Lake George or Rowes
Lagoon.....Terry Gourlay.
