I had a hunch that if Milburn saw
a flock of Black-chinned Honeyeaters flying south east from Mt Ainslie Nature
park, then I surmised that Newline could possibly be in their flight path. After
the wild weather of this week I wasn’t holding my breath.
I went out to Newline this
afternoon and in quick time saw at least 1 Black-chinned Honeyeater. I convened
a meeting of socially inept birders (including Milburn) with all getting great views
of the bird/s. A second bird was seen late in the afternoon.
I will submit a UBR.
Cheers
Alastair
