Went for a walk at Shepherds Lookout again this afternoon. Despite calm,
sunny conditions action was slow compared to what we'd reported seeing there
last Thursday afternoon. Nary a single finch and only one robin – a male
Flame Robin. A smattering of Brown and Yellow-rumped Thornbills and a Grey
Shrike Thrush.
Surprised to see a pair of Dusky Woodswallows. Did they miss the flight
north or what? I saw the Kookaburra family again. On Thursday we counted five,
today there were eight in the group.
Highlight of the walk was a White-bellied Sea-Eagle that approached
from the south, passed over at about thirty metres and flew steadily north along
the Murrumbidgee
