Driving home today, Lucy and I found a Galah / Short-billed Corella Cross
feeding enthusiastically with a group of Galahs on the NW corner of Fyshwick
Markets. After watching it for a few moments, we approached it (and spoke
to it) to determine if it was tame, however it immediately responded with
wild-type behaviour. In fact it appeared to be even more wary than its
accompanying Galahs by remaining several metres away from us at all times
before flying off.
The bird was quite handsome, with a white back and light pink from. It was
noticeably bulkier than the Galahs.
