The Murrumbidgee is fairly full and flowing steadily at Pt
Hutt Crossing.
Around 10 this morning, there were the following on the river,
its banks or the surrounding periphery:
Great Egret, White-faced Heron, Purple Swamphen, Australasian
Grebe and Grey Butcherbird (all 1 of), 2 Little Pied Cormorant and 3 Black Duck
- one of which seemed to be just out of the duckling stage as it was quite a lot
smaller than the other two.
Bruce
PS For anyone interested in sighting Cattle Egret, there were
still 3 at Kellys Swamp around 1pm today. In the rank grassy flat that lies
between the (southern?) far side of the swamp and Jerrabomberra
Creek.
