My grateful thanks for Anthony Overs and his 'beginners'
(who I think just graduated) for alerting us to this magnificent bird. It is
roosting in Section 12; skirt the cafe throng, walk north past the row of
offices and continue straight ahead for ~100m to the first big paperbark
overhanging the path on the left. You'll see the processed possum on the
ground...
Couple of basic reduced pics attached. I've never had the
chance to become familiar with this sp, but this looks to me like a sub-adult.
Maybe scattering for territory from Tallaganda???
