I went to Warragandra where we usually see the honey eaters migrating in
very large numbers, on Saturday. I stayed in the vicinity from 9-11.45am.
I was disappointed in the number of honey eaters that flew through. And
the ones that I did see appeared to be confused as to which way they should
go, although eventually heading east. Maybe I just did not stay long
enough. There were a couple of flocks, 6 and 10 wattle birds heading east.
The highlight of the morning was seeing a rufous fantail near to the
homestead. Also magpies were harrassing a wedgetail eagle not far away.
How did the survey to Smith's Road and Angle Crossing get on yesterday?
