A number of years ago I mentioned this link between
the appearance of tall forest birds such as Rufous Fantail, Satin
Flycatcher and Golden Whistler in our woodlands and gardens following storms.
This link is very pronounced during the breeding season of those species (Nov.,
Dec.) but probably more coincidental at other times of year during
the normal migration time of these species. I hope to look into this issue
a bit more closely in due course.
