A (non-birding) friend at Murrumbateman tells me that there have been large numbers (50-100) of Superb Parrots feeding in his garden mainly on plums.
Several birds, he thought young ones, have died and he wondered if there is enough cyanide in plum kernels to kill these birds. Any thoughts about this?
Several neighbours have also found dead birds.
