I went out this morning along Coppins Crossing Road where Marnix, Sue Lashko
and others saw some Singing Bushlarks yesterday. There are several birds (I
saw 4 at one time, but I'm sure there are more) in the grassy paddocks north
of the river - the best spot seems to be about 700 metres up the hill from
the river crossing north towards Belconnen, where there a two blank grey
road signs, one on either side of the road, and a little further on there is
an "owners not renters" sign in the paddock on the west side. The birds are
around this area. Some photos attached. Also heard a Brown Songlark, and
there are plenty of Skylarks and Pipits for comparison. Raptors in the area
were a Hobby, a Brown Falcon and a Black-shouldered Kite.

Regards
Frank
