a few weeks ago there were boobooks calling over quite a few nights around the NW of the Inner North. Some nights one was calling from one of our big trees (NW O'Connor) and another from further north (Lyneham?), but most nights the calls seemed to be coming from Lyneham (probably above Macpherson, north of Wattle). As we have double glazing they could be calling at other times and I may not hear.
