I was just thinking how I have seen/heard a lot of boobooks recently after a
big gap with none.
Within the past week and a half I heard a boobook in Macquarie. I am in
'middle' Macquarie but the call seemed to be coming from the SE, so possibly in
cook. I didn't go and check where exactly, although debated it. Went outside
and then decided it was too far.
On about the 15th of September I saw (but didn't hear) a boobook hawking (or
boobooking) for moths in Hawker, on a warm night. It was on springvale Dr,
about house 153. A week or two before then I heard 2 boobooks calling in Hawker
while walking the dog.
