Maybe but I didn't wish to get
to the heart of the confusion, simply because I didn't wish to go over old
ground. Yes there is confusion and yes I use the recent ?scientific? use: to fly from the
nest meaning, as used in for example Aust Field Ornithology. Fledging is a
discrete one-off, once only process for each individual bird.Yes its use should
be clarified if used in any other way and it is, which is why it is confusing.
