At the usual southern end, western bank. I'm near enough to certain it
is Long-toed, based on the following.
- distinct unbroken breast band;
- dark bar across distinctly scallop-patterned brown, not grey, wings
(and back);
- bill appeared tapered and sharp, though the bulbous tip of the
Red-necked isn't necessarily obvious.
On the other hand legs were dark (but it was pottering in black mud) and
no sign of a pale base to bill (same comment though).
There are others among you whose word I'd take above mine, so I look
forward to other comments.
Also a Swamp Harrier, but no sign of a Turquoise Parrot.
