The discussion about publications and most recently the question presented by Phillip Verman poses some interesting questions:
  • Who has copies of Hanzab that they would be willing to let other members browse or (heaven forbid) borrow?
  • Who has copies of other publications such as those written by Wilson, Verman and Taylor that they would be willing to let other members browse or loan.
  • This raises the question, why is it so difficult to access the COG library ? indeed why does the COG library reside at someone?s home in suburban page, all but inaccessible to southsiders?
  • Finally who was responsible for that second rate attempt at a survey about publications in the latest Gang-Gang? It does not ask relevant questions such as those raised by Phillip and is at best subjective and at worst biased. Is there not someone in this group with the experience in survey design. I agree, how to make publications more relevant such as a hardcopy index for bird notes is something that should have been raised
