Hi Fergus and all,
I think the main part of the answer is that COG did
have an office / shopfront / library in the city and found the cost thereof
prohibitive and so this was changed. Hence COG's assets are stored wherever.
I have all the books you mention and would be
content (within reason) for anyone to come and look at them (borrowing is a
bigger ask). As well known I am in Kambah but surely there are others around. My
GBS Report (2003) edition is in some of the ACT libraries, I don't know about
the others. Also I would point out that whilst HANZAB is a big financial
investment (between $2000 to $3000) and too much to buy unless you are really
interested or have a lot of money, the other books are individually incredibly
cheap for what they contain and I suggest every person in Canberra with more
than a passing interest in birds SHOULD have all of them. For their own use and
to support COG and local authors.
(p.s. I'm sure it is just a typo but my name is not
quite how you did it.)
