On my first COG walk (Bibaringa on Saturday) a few people asked me how "big" would be the image in my photograph of the Diamond Firetail we saw for such a long time in the horse yard. My answer was vague because I don't know how to explain it, but here is the full image, a much better answer...

So from that distance, the photo is good enough for the web but not really for printing. For a good printed image you'd need to get closer or use an even longer lens (that I don't own).

My thanks in particular to Stuart, Anthony and Martin for  a fun afternoon.  I was especially impressed by how it was organised for the Brown Falcon to fly so close right over us, close enough to overfill my bin view.

and PS I actually saw the WFChat on the way home!  (seventh visit). Thanks Benj for turning up at the right time and taking us over the road to the Chief Minister's play area where the bird (or maybe both of them) appeared as we were gazing into the long grass there.
