Back when they were just commencing the earthworks for Lake Ginninderra there were White-fronted Chats present in the Emu Bank vicinity, along where Hungry Jacks and the other bite-and-barfs are now.
 
I retain fond memories of the area. One time, while trail bike riding rather than birding, I was chased out of there by a feisty old lady ranger driving a Kombi Van. I took the roughest egress route I could see which the little Bultaco handled easily, but Ranger Sasquatch and Hitler's Revenge chickened out. My lack of licence plates wouldn't have appeased her angst either.
