Judging by the illustration there is a bit of
flexibility about the number 5. I wonder what the Phamous Phrench Philm
maker means by typical? Two of the many possible definitions could be: (i)
birds that you are very likely to see as you walk around Canberra and (ii) Birds
that would give you a hint that, if they
appeared in a Philm, you were looking at one shot in
Canberra.
Under (i) I would include Australian Magpie;
Crimson Rosella, Maned Duck, Superb fairy wren, Common mynah. I
wouldn't include politicians under this list because they are rarely seen in
public.
For (ii) the first entry would have to be
Gang-gang. Then Crimson Rosella, Maned Duck, Australian King Parrot
(not in cage) and White-winged Chough. I wouldn't include politicians
under this list either because the Canberra sort is no different to others the
world over!.
