Many thanks to Anthony Overs for leading a group of mainly novices on a walk at the ANBG last Sunday morning.  Although scrubwrens and frogmouth proved elusive, we did see a number of other species , including white throated treecreeper, New Holland honeyeater, grey currawong, brown thornbills, yellow robin, Eastern spinebill.  The most interesting occurrence was the mobbing of a Southern Boobook by a variety of other birds, including a green satin bowerbird, to the extent that it dropped the rosella it was planning to have for supper as it flew off to another tree.
